Zirconia (ZrO2) fiber is the sole polycrystalline refractory fiber that can endure extended use in oxidizing environments at temperatures exceeding 1.600℃. The high melting point and non-oxidizing properties make it outperform alumina fibers in temperature endurance and thermal insulation. Moreover, its stable chemical properties at high temperatures, corrosion and oxidation resistance, thermal shock resistance, non-volatility, and environmental friendliness make it the premier refractory fiber material.
